PROFIL PENGGUNAAN INSULIN KOMBINASI SHORT DAN LONG ACTION PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2

Background: Diabetes Mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormal insulin secretion, insulin action or both. The pharmacological therapy consisting of injectable antidiabetic drugs consisting of insuline rapid, Short, intermediette, and Long action. Rapid and Short action insulin is included in Short action insulin which includes prandial insulin to control blood sugar levels after eating. Intermediate and Long Action insulin including basal insulin to control blood sugar levels throughout the day. Objective: A study to find out the pattern of injection use of antidiabetic insuline Short and Long action including dose, route, frequency, design, and duration of drug use. Method: Retrospective method observational research for type 2 diabetes mellitus patient in Mardi Waluyo Hospital of Blitar Distrcit Result and Conclusion: There was a design of use of the most combined insuline Detemir + Aspart in 21 patients (66%) with the highest dose use of Detemir (0-0-14 IU) s.c + Aspart (3x4 IU) s.c in 4 patients (12%). There was a pattern of switching from single insulin to a combination of 9 patients with the most initial single insulin use Detemir Insuline 7 patients (78%). There is a pattern of change of combination insulin to a single as many as 4 patients with the change to the single insulin most Detemir Insuline in 4 patients (100%
