Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is one of the most important agricultural crops suitable for human consumption. High amount of valueless by-product is produced during the processing of potato peeling. Depending on the type of the abrasive peeling machine the by-product can be 15-40% of the unpeeled raw material. The purpose of the recent paper is to show that the peel losses can be decreased with a modem automation. This research is illustrated by a vegetable processing manufacture still operating
