The chosen topic of this dissertation is the significant and unconventional figure of Wilfrid Scawen Blunt and his anti-imperialist views. This dissertation will investigate these views with particular reference to the Egyptian crisis of 1881-1882 informing on what exactly they were on the eve of the crisis before elaborating on how Blunt sought to control events and influence them into taking a shape of his liking and finally ending by noting how the aftermath of the crisis affected his views
