Abstract:SporotrichosisisasubcutaneousmycosiscausedbySporothrixschenckiicomplex. Thedisease hasbeenreportedworldwide.However,theincidenceoftheetiologicalagentvariesinitsgeographic distribution. We studied 39 clinical isolates of Sporothrix schenckii from diverse regions in Mexico, collectedfrom1998to2016.Molecularidentificationwasperformedbysequenceanalysisofthepartial calmodulin gene.
