The Liberated Archive: A Forum for Envisioning and Implementing a Community-Based Approach to Archives, which will be held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, July 29, in conjunction with the Society of American Archivists Annual Meeting at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon.Studies have shown that children who see diversity in the stories they read have both a stronger confidence in their identity and show greater empathy towards others. This same principle can be applied to historical documents.
