Intent. Alternative medicine utilization is increasing and has largely been financed on a self pay basis by its users. Many changes are now underway that will increase third party reimbursement for these services and make them more available to a wider population. Significant questions of value remain. This study was designed to capture and analyze information on patients receiving alternative medicine services in integrative medicine clinics. Methods. The Short Form 36 (SF-36) was utilized to assess the outcomes of care.
