Corporate environment presently realises the importance of health promotion strategies to ensure health and productivity. In this pre-test-post-test quasi-experimental study, the effect of two intervention strategies (physical fitness and an enriched physical fitness programme) of 32 weeks on coronary prone colliery executives from six collieries in South Africa were studied. High risk executives volunteered to participate (availability sampling) resulting in a total of 143 participants (Group A: n = 77; Group B: n = 66).
