Gotland suffers from a shortage of drinking water at infrequent intervals which is onlypredicted to get worse with time. The problem is not a shortage of precipitation, the shortagelies in the combined problem of runoff and high water usage during the summer months.From September to March there is an abundance of water which mostly goes to runoff intothe sea surrounding Gotland.
