The purpose of this study is to discover how the teachers recognize students understanding of fractions and calculating with fractions and I want to learn more about which working methods they think are important to rise the understanding of fractions and calculating with fractions. The method I used to get answers was a qualitative survey with interviews. I interviewed in all ten teachers and teachers for special needs education. I discovered that hands-on material in different shapes and easy comprehends tutorial were important elements to create understanding of fractions and calculating with fractions.
