This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of the pension system in the Czech Republic and its direction. The theoretical part is focused on determination of the pension system, the legislative definition, demography, wage developments and the economic situation of the population. Furthermore, it points to define the potential risks and the historical development of the pension system. The practical part focuses on a comparison of all three pillars of the pension system and its advantages for different groups of the population, by examining the pension situation in Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia, analysis of commercial entities that offer retirement savings products and the assessment of the advantages and disadvantages of each pillar
