Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2017 The bachelor thesis focuses on peer-to-peer loans and their providers in the Czech Republic. The thesis assesses peer-to-peer loans from the point of view of a representative borrower based on three selected indicators, such as interest rate, annual percentage rate and increase coefficient. The thesis further examines the question, whether system of peer-to-peer lending is more advantageous than traditional banking institutions for the borrower. The output of the thesis is finding the most advantageous peer-to-peer loans provider for a given applicant and its subsequent comparison with a selected banking institution. Finally, general recommendations are made for applicants to help them choose the appropriate consumer loans provider
