This diploma thesis deals with the use of loft space of an existing family house for residential purposes. The attic conversion proposes two variants of the apartment layout, as well as the design of new truss structures. Part of the work is a construction-technical survey of the existing loft space. The thesis also includes the composition of the perimeter walls, roof deck and floors. Finally, the cost calculation of the selected attic conversion variant is included
