The bachelor thesis deals with the problem of diseases and faults of wine that can occur during winemaking process. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to characterization of raw material composition from morphological and chemical point of view. There are outlined the procedure white and red wines production, as well as the characteristics and responsibilities of the producer from the point of view of the legislation. The second part of the thesis deals with diseases and faults of wine. The description of the problem always contains a short characteristic, the cause and course of the fault, the possibilities of remedy and prevention
