Thesis Dietary intervention for weight reduction focuses on issues related to overweight and obesity. I first deal with the human nutrition itself. I describe individual macronutrients and micronutrients. The main objective was to get acquainted with obesity, its causes, treatment options and recommended weight loss interventions. Furthermore, the aim was to evaluate long-term and short-term dietary interventions and find appropriate nutritional recommendations. I focus on the influence of obesity, the cause of its origin and the possibility of prevention and subsequent treatment. The result was familiarity with obesity and overweight, nutritional recommendations and overall prevention against obesity
