This bachelor thesis is focused on issues in pig breeding in Czech republic. The main goal of this thesis is meeting with history in pig breeding in Czech republic and with the current situation. In a review of the literature are said chapters on history of pig bre-edings, on the importance of pig breeding, on the pig breeds which are breeding at the territory of the Czech republic currently, on the technology and conditions in current breeding and on perspective in the pig breeding
