It was detected that different ways of the mean diameter have no influence on the stand volume, which was estimated by the method of uniform volume curves. Field works were situated in property of town Planá in Pilsen region. The stand volume of thirteen stands in maturity age (more than 3 hectares area of stands, management set of stands 433, forest type 3K3) was estimated during field works. These volumes were estimated for each tree species and whole stand by the method of uniform volume curves and also for comparison by the method of volume tables.
