At the Department of Wood Science wooden test pieces with approximate dimensions of 2 × 2 × 3 centimetres are plentifully used for various tests and experiments in which it is often necessary to reduce humidity. Spruce, oak and beech are the most important woody plants in agriculture in the Czech Republic therefore this thesis deals with the drying of these species in a laboratory drying oven Incucell V 111 Standard, which is located at the Department of Wood Science.
