Design dětské postýlky

The goal of this thesis is a design of a crib. Thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part discusses sleeping habits of children, sleep cycle itself and trends in child care. Furthermore, the evolution of a child’s bed from ancient times to present is described. Theoretical part also defines requirements for children furniture related to baby’s sleep as well as its movements inside the crib. Practical part is focused on design and construction of crib. Design process is described with sketches and 3D visualizations. Thesis resulted in 3D visualization and 1:1 prototype.
