Venkovské brownfields na Šlapanicku a možnosti jejich využití pro rozvoj venkova

This work deals with brownfields in the Czech Republic, specifically in the municipalities that lie in the administrative area of the municipality with extended province Šlapanice. This is a very topical subject, as large areas of land are occupied in the Czech Republic, although brownfields could be used instead. The main goal of the thesis is to find out how the brownfields are used in the given municipalities and what are the attitudes of mayors to these objects through controlled interviews with mayors of selected municipalities. Areas of interest are villages of Jiříkovice, Sokolnice and Tvarožná. The thesis shows that in these municipalities they try to revitalise the brownfields. The thesis also points to incompleteness of brownfield databases. Field research and interviews with mayors have shown that there are objects in municipalities that are not listed in any of the brownfield databases. Mismatches can also be caused by the fact that there is no united definition in the Czech Republic of what brownfields actually mean
