Diploma thesis theme Development of social services in the selected rural microregion takes care of social services (healthcare, education and social care) in the countryside. In particular, thesis examines the surroundings of Rosice u Brna. Theoretical part and literary research describe basic social concepts. The thesis describes types of social services. One part is also focused on an extraordinarily detailed description of social services for seniors. This follows up the chapter of causes and impacts of population aging on society. A part of the work maps possibilities of the financing social services. Also, modes of transport because the high-quality transport disponibility of social services is important for the development of the region. Demographic analysis of the individual municipalities was performed in the practical part. The existing social services in individual areas and municipalities were identified. The research has shown that the capacities of some facilities are inadequate
