This bachelor thesis collects information about the usage of grazing of sheep, goats, cattle and horses as an option care of protected areas in our country and abroad. It explains the pastoral characteristics of individual livestock species and compares pastoral systems in terms of efficiency and labor, including their advantages and disadvantages. It describes the positive and negative effects of grazing on the present communities of plants and animals. There is also a comparison of grazing with another way of managing protected areas, specifically with the cutting of grassland.
