Srovnání účinku vybraných forem síry na zdravotní stav, výnos a kvalitu slunečnice roční

The effects of various foliar applied form of sulphur fertilizers was studied during one-year vegetative experiment. The following variants were used: 1. sulphur-unfertilized control, 2. thiosulphate 3. elementary sulphur, 4. polysulphide sulphur. Sulphur fertilization eliminated the number of infested plants by the black stem rot of sunflower (Phoma macdonaldii). After the application of elemental sulphur decrease in sunflower rust (Puccinia helianthi) was observed. Foliar applied sulphur had a beneficial effect on sunflower yield. The production increased in all treated variants, statistically significant after the application of polysulphide sulphur where the yield increased by 6,8 % compared to control. The variants fertilized with thiosulfate and elemental sulphur showed an increase in yield, however, without statistical evidence. Oil production was not statistically influenced by fertilization. The effect of foliar nutrition with sulphur expressed by the interaction of yield and quality (oiliness), resulted in an increase in oil production in all sulphur-fertilized variants ranging from 3,6 % (application of elemental sulphur) to 9,1 % (polysulphide sulphur).
