The bachelor thesis deals with the problems of composting and ways of waste management. It focuses on composting, its advantages and disadvantages as well as on waste management methods and related legislation. The theoretical part summarizes the principles and mechanisms of individual waste management methods, which form the main part of this bachelor thesis. In the practical part is described the composting process used by the composting plant Kompostárna – Zahradnictví Kunín s.r.o. and also is described the waste management in the village Šenov u Nového Jičína
