Analýza výkonnosti parkúrových koní v skokových súťažiach na svetovej úrovni

This diploma thesis deals with the performance of show jumping horses in the Czech Republic, as well as worldwide. The theoretical overview describes the historical development and also the current situation in the show jumping discipline, presented are the binding rules for this discipline, and the subsequent chapter mentions particular show jumping horse breeds which are bred for performing on the highest levels. The thesis deals with the statistical evaluation of particular factors, such as age, sex, breed, coat color and year of start, and their individual impact on the performance of horses. Data for analysis have been gathered from the overview of sporting horses (“prehľad športových koní” ) published on web pages of the Czech Equestrian Federation and web pages of the FEI (International Federation for Equestrian Sports) from years 2010 and 2016. Statistically significant impact has been proven for all above mentioned factors, while the coat color has been proven as statistically significant only in the year 2010. It is possible to claim that horses of Isabella color are statistically the least successful. Zangersheide has been evaluated as the most successful horse breed in the Czech Republic with the highest performance AAP 5,14. Stallions are considered the sex with the highest performance with AAP 4,44, and the best results have been reached by horses in the age category 7-12 years, AAP 4,02 in particular. In addition, the category of horses aged 7-12 years showed also the highest amount of starts in competitions, 22 starts in average. The overall performance in 2016 has significantly improved compared to 2010, increasing by AAP 0,42 in average. Zangersheide has been proven the most successful horse breed worldwide with 710,95 AAP, followed by the Holsteiner Horse with 706,55 AAP and the Oldenburg Horse as the third most successful breed with 673,44 AAP. The worldwide situation has also improved when compared to 2010, and the performance keeps increasing. Furthermore, the lowest and also the highest rankings increase as well. Among the age categories, horses aged 17 and more years are the leading category worldwide, while the youngest horses reach the lowest amount of AAP. Considering the factor of sex, the best results have been proven for mares, while geldings earned the lowest amounts of AAP. It is possible to observe and positively conclude that the world trend in many respects coincides with the trend in the Czech Republic, and it is a matter of time when the rankings in the Czech Republic reach the worldwide levels
