Možnosti využití druhu Cyclanthera pedata (L.) Schrader

Cyclanthera pedata (L.) Schrad. belongs to very interesting vegetable species. It is grown mainly in Central and South America. Nowadays it is expanding also in East Asia. This plant is not grown by intensive farming in Czech Republic. It is not grown despite positive substances that it contains and its tasty properties. This vegetable species has a high health value. It slows down cell aging and reduces cholesterol. Based on tasting, which was organized within this bachelor thesis it is obvious that there is an interest in planting wild cucumber. Based on degustation, the preserved wild cucumber was best rated. We can claim that wild cucumber is a perspective plant for Czech Republic. It can be used in food proccesing, in pharmaceutical industry and as fresh vegetable for consumers
