Architektonická studie - veřejný prostor vybrané městské části

A theoretical part of the bachelor thesis called An architectural study - a public space of the selected town district describes public space, it´s definition and typology. It´s focused on a specific type of public space - the riverfront. It is studying teoretical principles of projecting, according to selected author´s attitudes. The study is interested in river´s importance inside of the city, in the typology of riverbank spaces, in it´s specifics and projecting principles. A theoretical part includes examples of czech and foreign projects. Model area for a project part is section of Svitava´s riverfront in Brno. Analytic part of the bachelor thesis is studying area section among Zábrdovický and Maloměřický bridge and it´s sorroundings, emphasizing on urbanism process and it´s understanding. Summarizing problem analysis is the base for design principles definitions. A proposal part is projected on the left Svitava´s riverbank among Maloměřický bridge and bridge on Garguláková street. Design principles are: flexibility, place continuity, transport solution, new vegetation concept, transparency, transverse space espreading, half private zone, river to the bank and bank into the river. The area is divided into six segments with specific function use, space solution and architectural layout
