Design of Methodology for Setting Performance Standards

The Bachelor’s thesis describes a draft methodology for setting performance standards in a manufacturing establishment. The introductory part determines the theoretical background and methods of lean manufacturing. The second section presents an analysis of the company, the current method of setting performance standards, and an analysis of a specific performance standard. The third section focuses on the selection of an alternative method for the analysis and measurement of work, and the determination of its application methodology in practice. The last part assesses the impact of the refinement of performance standards. It also evaluates the economic, as well as non-economic, benefits that the new method would bring about to the company
