This bachelor thesis deals with design and strength calculation of self-locking differential hoist. The hoist will have a lifting capacity of 450 kg, the maximum lifting height will be 9750 mm. After selecting a suitable type of differential hoist, the construction of individual parts follows. Furthermore, the work deals with the calculation of pulleys and self-locking assessment. Then the stressed parts of the chain block are checked. The work is accompanied by drawing documentation
