The clinching technology

This bachelor thesis contains a description of clinching technology. Most common failures of a clinch joint, which is either a fracture at the neck of the joint or a slip of the top layer, are shown. Furthermore, this work deals with the comparison of clinching with spot welding, which lists the advantages and disadvantages of clinching technology compared to spot welding technology. A list of several clinching methods is given. Follows an overview of clinching machines and tools. And at the end are indicated some examples of the use of clinching in practice
