The Origin of the Marian type called Regina in Bohemian territory

This task is dealing with a question of origin of a Marian type called Regina and its possible precursors in a bohemian painting of 2/2. 14th century. The base of the research is a critical reflexion of existing theories. The crucial part is a comparison of documented Marian images from the Augustinian monastery in Roudnice nad Labem with the final type of Madonna and its later variants. Except for typological, formal and iconographical analysis is worked with a historical and archival resources and their interpretation. The second important part is an introduction to a terminology base of a theme and its critical reflection, mostly focused on a problem of unreflected using of terms in older texts.
