The aim of this bachelor thesis is to get acquainted with the characteristics of rechargeable accumulator batteries and their charging and on the basis of this obtained information to design a charger of larger number of batteries. The design and later construction of the charger will be designed for 6 battery packs, which consist of six NiHM rechargeable cells. This means that the charger will be able to charge 36 of these cells. The main advantage will be the control of the charger using a microcontroller, which will allow the appropriate selection of the charging cycle, display of information and control by buttons
