Youth at increased risk of developing psychosis i.e. at-risk mental states (ARMS), display lifestyle behaviours known to exacerbate mental health symptoms and impair physical health. Physical activity (PA) interventions are effective in improving the physical and mental health of individuals with established mental illness, however research is limited in youth with ARMS. The research undertaken for this dissertation examined the role of integrated PA interventions in ARMS populations, aiming to identify effective implementation strategies to enhance physical activity services for ARMS youth as part of routine mental health care.
