Aflatoxins are poisonous substances produced by Aspergillus flavus and A. parasiticus. These substances are potent carcinogens and hence a health concern to agricultural workers, consumers, and production animals. And thus, a threat to both the food and feed industry. Aspergillus species infect a broad range of crops such as peanuts, corn, pistachio, cotton, tree nuts, chili, and black pepper, and contaminate the produce with aflatoxins. In this communication, an effort was made to summarize different pre- and post-harvest aflatoxin management strategies and make them available to peanut producers
