Fasi Dega (Silu Mahadev) temple under reconstruction

This temple was destroyed above the base during the 1934 earthquake and was rebuilt in a much smaller scale and different architecture from the original. Now, following its destruction during the 2015 earthquake, it is being rebuilt to the pre-1934 architecture under the contract system. The photographic collection was curated by Khem Shreesh of Social Science Baha in collaboration with Emily Homolka of UBC’s School of Information, with additional support from Emily Amburgey and Jonathan Eaton of UBC’s Department of Anthropology.
