WMPG celebrates the lives of Black men and women throughout the month of February. Born and raised on Munjoy Hill in Portland, ME, activist Leonard W. Cummings Sr., former president of the NAACP of Maine, was pivotal in the restoration of the Abyssinian Meeting House in Portland, ME.
