Probleme Dayalı Öğrenme (PDÖ) yaklaşımı matematik dersini günlük hayat problemi aktivitesi etrafında düzenleyen, öğrenci merkezli sınıf içi bir yaklaşımdır. Matematik dersinde PDÖ yaklaşımı öğrencilere eleştirel ve yaratıcı düşünebilme, problem çözme ve grupla iletişim içinde olma fırsatlarını verir. Problem çözebilme becerisi, PDÖ yaklaşımının faydalarından biridir ve matematik eğitiminin esasını teşkil eder. Bu çalışmada, PDÖ yaklaşımı ile işlenen matematik dersinde, PDÖ yaklaşımının faydalı sonuçları arasında olan ve matematiğin odak noktasını oluşturan öğrencilerin problem çözme becerileri analiz edilmiştir.
