Add to ORKG231943/5861John Kaine enlisted in Darwin on 30 November 1917. On 2 March 1918 he embarked from Sydney on board the RMS 'Ormonde' with the 26th Infantry Battalion. In June 1918, he transferred to the 49th Battalion. In September, towards the end of the war while serving in France he was wounded in action and tranferred to Devonport in England for treatment.
