The study objectives are: 1.Undertake core sampling of Rapid Creek estuary to construct a pollutant history. Metal pollutant trends identified will enable reconstruction of pollution histories associated with land use change (development, urbanisation, and erosion); and 2.Provide valuable baseline data to progress the development of a sediment monitoring program in the Darwin Harbour region.
