The interception of Aedes aegypti on the 1 June (northern Australia dry season) is the fourth interception of an exotic mosquito at Perkins Shipping, Darwin since the beginning of 2010. Previous interceptions at this port this year occurred on 25/01/10, 5/02/10 (Nguyen et al, 2010a) and 12/04/10 (Nguyen et al, 2010b) during the tropical wet to early dry season. The interception details and activities undertaken in response to this current detection are outlined in this report
