Made available by the Northern Territory Library via the Publications (Legal Deposit) Act 2004 (NT).This report reviews the implementation and examines the outcomes of a range of Northern Territory Department of Education and Training (DET) initiatives to improve the recruitment, retention and quality of teaching staff in very remote schools. DET?s approach to workforce development has included a special focus on Indigenous staff. Significant investments have been made in developing the local education workforce through the Indigenous Employment and Career Development Strategy, and a number of associated initiatives.
