BACKGROUND: Modern inhaled anaesthetics, Sevoflurane and Desflurane with their low blood-gas partition coefficients facilitate rapid induction and prompt recovery from anaesthesia. In this study, we compared the recovery characteristics and hemodynamic parameters of Desflurane and Sevoflurane in functional endoscopic sinus surgery.
