the study which was conducted in Central, Port Elizabeth, mainly focusing on the youth perceptions towards HIV and AIDS. This chapter also gives an overall of the study, the literature review which is used on the study and the theory of Social Action which is used as a theoretical framework for this study. The chapter also includes the objectives and aims of the study, so as the research question which guided throughout the research and be able to reach the goal of this study. This chapter has also mentioned what has led to this particular topic and the fact that HIV and AIDS is a problem among the youth of South Africa so as Africa as a continent which needs to be controlled.
