ANALISIS ENERGI STRERILIZER DALAM PROSES PEREBUSAN KELAPA SAWIT DI PT PERKEBUNAN NUSANTARA 1 PKS TANJUNG SEUMANTOH

Practical work in PKS Tanjung Seumantoh PT Perkebunan Nusantara I has been implemented. Palm oil plant (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) is a tropical plant belonging to the family palmae. The most important part to be processed from oil palm trees is its fruit. The palm fruit contains approximately 80% pericarp and 20% thin-coated, the pericarp level in the range of 34-40%. This practical work will discuss about the processing of palm fruit from beginning to end. In addition, the energy needed in the process of boiling the oil palm is analyzed on the sterilizer station. The processing of palm oil starts from the fruit receiving station, the sterilizer station, the threshing station, the fitting station, the purification station and the kernel seed processing station. The energy in the boiling process is calculated theoretically by using ideal gas thermodynamic equations. The result of observation data of total energy amount on sterilizer number VI is 178,04 kJ, whereas in sterilizer number I is 186,8 kJ. Tanaman kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) merupakan tumbuhan tropis yang tergolong dalam famili palmae. Bagian yang paling utama untuk diolah dari pohon kelapa sawit adalah buahnya. Buah kelapa sawit mengandung kurang lebih 80% pericarp dan 20% dilapisi kulit tipis, kadar dalam pericarp sekitar 34-40%. Kerja praktek ini akan membahas tentang proses pengolahan buah kelapa sawit dari awal sampai akhir. Selain hal tersebut, energi yang dibutuhkan dalam proses perebusan buah kelapa sawit dianalisis pada stasiun sterilizer. Proses pengolahan kelapa sawit dimulai dari stasiun penerimaan buah, stasiun sterilizer, stasiun penebah, stasiun kempa, stasiun pemurnian dan stasiun pengolahan biji kernel. Energi pada proses perebusan dihitung secara teori dengan menggunakan persamaan termodinamika gas ideal. Hasil dari data pengamatan jumlah energi total tersebut pada sterilizer nomor VI adalah 178,04 kJ, sedangkan pada sterilizer nomor I adalah 186,8 kJ.
