Faktor-faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Minat Mahasiswa Akuntansi dalam Pemilihan Karir sebagai Akuntan Publik

This paper aimed to investigate several factor that could seen as students interest on choosing career as public accountant. A number of predictors are financial prestise, professional training, professional acquirement and social values. This paper based on Theory of Planned Behavior’s (TPB) premise in order to explain the students interest on career choice. The object of this research determined in four university at Gresik and Surabaya city. We conduct survey technique to collect research data. We determine the research subject using purposive sampling technique and gain 100 respondents. In term to get conclusion about our hypothesis, we used multiple regression analysis. The hypothesis testing showed empirical evidences that financial prestise, professional training and social values have significant influence toward students interest to choose career as public accountant. The otherside of the result showed that professional acquirement hasn’t significant influence. Through this research, We confirmed that students interest to choose career as public accountant could be explain with based on TPB framework.
