This article seeks to reflect on dramaturgical reinterpretations of plays by Anton Chekhov (1860-1904) by contemporary Russian playwrights, such as Alexey Slapovsky (1957-), Lyudmila Petrushevskaya (1938-), Viktor Slavkin (1935-2014) and others.
