This article contains six letters written by Froude (1818-1894) to General Gustave Paul Cluseret (1923-1900) during the years 1876-1877. They primarily concern Froude's knowledge of affairs in South Africa and his efforts to obtain a position for Cluseret in the government of the Transvaal. They are part of the Library's Theodore Stanton Collection in Special Collections
