Relaciones afectivas en discapacidad intelectual

The present study seeks to investigate affective relationships in people with intellectual disabilities. Affective relationships are inherent in the human being, being intrinsic to the human condition. The great impact they have on different areas of health in the general population is well known and documented. Despite this, this face has been relegated to oblivion when we refer to people with intellectual disabilities. For this, the love evaluation scale (Morentin, Arias, Rodríguez, and Verdugo, 2012) and the INICO-FEAPS scale (Verdugo, Gómez, Arias, Santamaría, Clavero, Tamarit, 2013) were evaluated. The results found that affective relationships influence the well-being of people with intellectual disabilities, specifically it was corroborated that affective relationships in people with intellectual disabilities are limited by parental style, finally it is confirmed that people with intellectual disabilities present a model of love analogous to that of the general population.El presente estudio pretende investigar las relaciones afectivas en personas con discapacidad intelectual. Las relaciones afectivas son inherentes al ser humano, siendo intrínsecas a la condición humana. Es bien sabido y documentado el gran impacto que tienen sobre diferentes áreas de la salud en población general. A pesar de ello, esta faceta ha sido relegada al olvido cuando nos referimos a personas con discapacidad intelectual. Para ello se utilizó la escala de evaluación del amor (Morentin, Arias, Rodríguez, y Verdugo,2012) y la escala INICO-FEAPS (Verdugo, Gómez, Arias, Santamaría, Clavero, Tamarit, 2013). Los resultados constataron que las relaciones afectivas influyen sobre el bienestar de las personas con discapacidad intelectual, asimismo se corroboró que las relaciones afectivas en personas con discapacidad intelectual se ven limitadas por el estilo parental, finalmente se confirmó que las personas con discapacidad intelectual presentan un modelo de amor análogo al de población general
