[Abstract] Starting at its conception in 1816, the camera has been thrust into political, social, and informal justice issues. Now representing an era of emotional, truth-telling imagery, it has proven to be one of the most effective mediums in today’s ever-increasing media nightmare. From Civil Rights Leader’s to Monks with a cause, historical examples of photography are prevalent in the minds of today’s leaders, and are just as effective at persuading the mass audience as they were 200 years ago. While today’s technology presents a flurry of problems for blind trust in imagery, it also aids investigators in snuffing out fakes and forgeries, allowing the truth to stand out
