In stamp forming processes full-clamping systems are usually used for material infeed of textile reinforcement semi-finished products. This can result in draping errors in resulting preforms. Hence, the optical and mechanical properties of such fibre composite components are reduced. Other strategies for feeding the reinforcing layers during forming and simultaneously improving the draping quality are usually only designed for certain blanks. Such approaches cannot be automated or are customised solutions.
