Leachate recirculation in municipal solid waste (MSW) landfills operated as bioreactors offers significant economic and environmental benefits. Combined drainage blanket (DB)–horizontal trench (HT) systems can be an alternative to single conventional recirculation approaches and can have competitive advantages.
